About Us

2020 The Research Phase

The Park Home & Holiday Park Association was formally launched in 2021 by Bradley Chapman, following an intensive period of research and engagement across the UK park sector throughout 2020. When national lockdown began in April 2020, the leisure and residential park industry entered one of the most unusual periods in its history. While much of the country paused, Bradley was travelling across the UK in a professional capacity, working safely and responsibly, meeting operators, manufacturers, suppliers and legal professionals within the sector.

Throughout 2020, he visited residential parks, holiday parks, touring sites and manufacturing facilities. He observed operations first hand, engaged directly with park owners and directors, and gained valuable insight into the commercial pressures and opportunities emerging during a time of unprecedented change.

As international travel halted and demand for UK holidays surged, the great British park industry experienced rapid growth. Investment accelerated. Acquisition activity increased significantly. Manufacturing costs rose sharply as raw material prices escalated. The sector expanded at a pace rarely seen before.

2021 The Launch Phase

In 2021, having witnessed both the strengths and the pressures developing within the industry, Bradley made the decision to establish the Park Home & Holiday Park Association. With more than 35 years’ experience as a business consultant, coach and strategist, he believed the sector would benefit from a structured platform focused on professionalism, education, commercial stability and long term sustainability.

A Sector of Excellence and Opportunity

During extensive travel and engagement across the country, it became clear that many park operators deliver exceptional environments for residents and holidaymakers. Professional management, strong community culture and high operational standards are present across large parts of the industry. At the same time, rapid growth brought strain. Increased sales activity, investment pressure and rising costs created challenges in some areas of the market. By 2024, a level of tension had emerged across parts of the sector, including increased disputes and heightened public commentary.

PHHPA believes the response to this environment should be balanced, constructive and focused on long term improvement rather than division.
